True Sanctuary Checklist

Did you know? Spyke, our resident black leopard, has rossetts (leopard print) just like a regular leopard. You would be able to notice it, in him, if the sun shines in the perfect angle

True Sanctuary Checklist

A true sanctuary is a place of refuge or safety that provides quality lifetime care for the animals that it rescues. The term “sanctuary” is not regulated by any governing body. Anyone can start a sanctuary, but only a few facilities can be considered a true sanctuary.

It is crucial to practice ethical tourism and only support true sanctuaries that care for animals. We can make a difference through our choices! Before you visit any facility with wild animals, please check to see if they are a true sanctuary and make sure your patronage will not fund abusive exploitation, dangerous breeding practices, or the exotic pet trade.
