Turpentine Creek is currently home to 83 animals ranging from big cats and bears to small cats and other small species. This number can change fast depending on if we have a rescue. Being a refuge for this many animals can be expensive. As a non-profit, we rely on donations to continue rescuing and caring for our animals. These donations go towards several expenses, such as:
- Food
- Enrichment items
- Veterinarian care including medicine and medical procedures
- Habitats anything from gas for weed-eaters to benches and habitat builds
Our symbolic adoptions and sponsorships allow you to help us care for all the animals at TCWR while receiving some extra special things! They differ a little, but both are extremely important. Adoptions allow more than one person to donate in honor of a specific animal, meaning everyone can get a ton of love! If you adopt an animal, you receive an 8.5” x 11” certificate with a photo and short bio of the animal of your choosing.
Sponsorships are limited to one per animal per year, making them more personal to both sponsor an animal resident. Because of this one person limit, sponsorship is more expensive than adoption. However, the sponsor will receive the 8.5” x 11” certificate and a Pride Membership mailed to your address! This membership will allow you and 3 guests to visit the Refuge an unlimited amount of times in a year. Furthermore, sponsors have the opportunity to have their names displayed on our Sponsorship Wall in the Gift Shop.
Adoptions and sponsorships are one of the best ways to ensure that our animals get the best care. There are currently 25 animals at the Refuge in need of sponsorship. Can you help sponsor one of them today?
